Schneider Electric Completes 60 Years in India, Plans Rs 3,200 Crore Investment

Schneider Electric, a French automation company, recently celebrated 60 years of its presence in India. The company entered the Indian market in 1963 and has since become one of its major players in the industry. With 37,000 employees and 30 manufacturing sites in the country, Schneider Electric has established itself as a leading player in the Indian market.

India is Schneider Electric’s third largest market and one of the four global hubs for the company. Deepak Sharma, Zone President and Greater India MD & CEO of Schneider Electric India, stated that the company aims to make India its second largest market after the US and China.

To further strengthen its growth in the country, Schneider Electric India plans to invest Rs 3,200 crore by 2026 in nine states. This investment will help the company expand its footprint and increase its market share in India.

As part of its efforts to promote sustainable and digital automation solutions, Schneider Electric India also launched the Schneider Electric Innovation Yatra. This platform aims to create awareness and connect with the company’s stakeholders. The carbon-neutral yatra will cover the length and breadth of the country, showcasing the company’s next-generation automation solutions.

Rajat Abbi, Vice-President, Global Marketing, and Chief Marketing Officer of Schneider Electric India, highlighted the importance of the Schneider Electric Innovation Yatra in promoting sustainability and digitalization. He stated that the yatra will create awareness around Schneider Electric’s sustainable, digital, and next-generation automation solutions.

Schneider Electric’s investment and initiatives in India reflect its commitment to the country and its potential for growth in the automation industry. The company’s focus on sustainable and digital solutions aligns with India’s goal of becoming a more eco-friendly and digitally advanced nation.
