A day after top INDIA bloc leaders called on the public to defeat the BJP in order to protect democracy and the Constitution, Amit Shah, a key BJP leader, has fired back. The opposition bloc alleged that the government’s actions during the Lok Sabha elections were dictatorial and deprived them of a level playing field. However, Shah countered, stating that Rahul Gandhi, a member of the opposition, has no right to talk about democracy given that his grandmother imposed the Emergency rule in the past. The political battle between the ruling party and the opposition continues as both sides try to gain public support.
