Chennai Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board recently addressed a sewage pipeline leak on Durgabai Deshmukh Road. A manhole leak caused sewage to spill onto the road, posing a hazard to motorists. The leak was diagnosed to emanate from a pipeline joint. Repair work began promptly and was completed by the end of the day. Three metal boards were placed on the repaired section, functioning as temporary speed breakers. Previously, a similar board on Durgabai Deshmukh Road resulted in accidents, prompting its removal.
