Tata Motors on how long govt should offer EV subsidies

Tata Motors is setting ambitious sales targets for electric vehicles (EVs) by aiming to surpass 1 lakh units by FY25. Shailesh Chandra, the President of Tata Motors’ passenger vehicle business unit, shared the company’s plans to drive EV adoption in the country. Chandra also addressed the topic of government subsidies for EVs, expressing the need for a clear timeline on the duration for which the government should continue offering such incentives. By setting these targets and discussing policy requirements, Tata Motors aims to contribute significantly to India’s electric mobility initiative.
