During the recently held UN general assembly, 143 nations voted against Moscow’s forceful breach of Ukraine’s territory; while 34 nations, including India, refrained from the voting at all. On the event, US President Joe Biden gave a speech of a majority of nations standing against Russia’s attempt of taking over another country’s territory. He continued that the UN’s basic values of world peace and unity are being compromised by the Russian power, of overlooking freedom, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
