Officials said that despite attempts on Friday and Saturday bad weather conditions across Mizoram prevented the Indian Air Force (IAF) from airlifting them out of the state. Due to cyclonic storm “Midhili” triggered by a deep depression over Bay of Bengal, various northeastern states including Mizoram on Friday witnessed moderate to heavy rain badly affecting the normal life.
