Former Union minister Swami Chinmayanand said on Friday that within seven years the country’s leadership will be in the hands of a person who is ‘beloved’ to him. Speaking at the Mumukshu Ashram auditorium, a day after being acquitted in a sexual abuse case, Chinmayanand stated that the country is undergoing positive changes. However, he did not disclose the identity of the person he referred to as his ‘beloved’. Chinmayanand also shared his relationship with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, mentioning how he wanted to make Shahjahanpur like Sudamapuri and Adityanath was changing Gorakhpur into Dwarkapuri. He expressed his happiness over the court’s decision and mentioned that he was restricted from participating in international seminars due to his passport being confiscated since 2011. Chinmayanand’s advocate stated that he was acquitted due to lack of evidence.
