A New York judge, Arthur Engoron, has ruled that Donald Trump must pay more than $350 million in penalties as a result of a civil fraud verdict. The ruling came after a trial in a lawsuit led by New York Attorney General Letitia James. The verdict targets Trump, his company, and executives, including his two eldest sons. Trump responded to the decision by criticizing the New York judge, accusing the decision of being ‘election interference’ and ‘weaponization against a political opponent’.
