An ex-serviceman has been taken into custody by the Mahabubnagar police in relation to a horrific incident in Telangana. A gang of four individuals shot and killed 20 dogs in Ponnakal village, Addakal mandal, during the early hours of February 16. The police have collected eyewitness accounts from villagers who were able to identify the make and model of the car used in the crime. CCTV footage from a nearby toll plaza is currently being examined for further leads. The suspects, who are believed to be ‘out of towners,’ are yet to be officially apprehended. It has been reported that the culprits used country-made pistols for the shooting.
