    Uncategorized

Indian shooters have a chance to sing their redemption song at the Paris Olympics. With their largest-ever shooting contingent, India aims to surpass its best-ever tally of seven medals won at the Tokyo Games. The country’s shooters have secured an unprecedented 21 quota places across rifle, pistol, and shotgun disciplines, with expectations of another quota in men’s trap. The young squad, with a median age in the early 20s, includes experienced international shooters alongside promising talents. India’s shooting performance at the Hangzhou Asian Games and the selection policy of the National Rifle Association of India provide additional reasons for optimism. While other disciplines face challenges in identifying medal prospects, the shooters offer a realistic hope of landing at least 3-4 medals in Paris.
