Terrorists targeted and wounded J&K police constable Hafiz Ahmad in a shooting incident in Srinagar’s Bemina locality. This incident is part of a series of targeted attacks on off-duty policemen in the region, raising concerns about the safety of law enforcement personnel and the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir. Ahmad, who was walking home after duty, sustained gunshot wounds in his abdomen and right arm and was admitted to the hospital. The area has been cordoned off as security forces intensify efforts to catch the assailants. The attack follows the killing of constable Ghulam Mohammad Dar on November 1 in Baramulla district.
